On-Track Center Housing is for men and women. We provide housing to convicted felons who remain in prison after the parole board has authorized their release due solely to having no residential options. This provides short term financial assistance to help stabilize an individual’s re-entry process to enhance his or her ability to stay crime free. Because so many of them don’t have this foundation underneath them they fall and go back to their old ways of “crime”.
I believe we have the right set-up and staff to give them a second chance in life, with new independent living skills and structure. Most of the time, they get “off-track”, so we named the Housing Program “ON-TRACK” Center. Each person is addressed with understanding, love, respect and care. We offer AA and NA meetings, they are feed very well and they live in a nice and comfortable home environment. We have rules and regulations that they have to abide by which is posted. We also have a house Manager on-site to insure processes are done in order.
We work with electronic monitoring system upon release, this is a transition back into the community. They have access to phones, TVs’, and limited internet. M.A.R.T.A. is 2 blocks away, and we have in-house transportation services for them, as needed.
We test for drugs, if needed, and work very closely with the Parole Officers. We do not discriminate with Faith-based religious programs, we only suggest their services; and they are helpful and recommended to the growth of their transition. Family is encouraged to support the person living at the house with positivity; not old baggage and negative input.
We will be opening other facilities in the state of Georgia. Future dates and locations will be announced.
